Last month I met with some of Saunton Sands Hotel’s lovely members whilst hosting a supper club at their dreamy art deco coastal escape. We didn’t fully appreciate how lucky we were to be coming together – the week after the hotel closed its doors due to the national lockdown.
We discussed the importance of gut health and I curated a menu to complement this. We spoke a lot about the immune system that night and how the gut is integral to immune function which turned out to be a very timely discussion.
Other than my go-to bone broth, one of the things I included on the menu was kimchi due to the benefit of adding fermented foods to your diet. I explore gut health, and how we can support it, in a recent post. The gut might not be a glamorous organ but I’m sure most would agree it’s fast becoming the poster boy for health.
