FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long will it take me to see an improvement?
There is no easy answer to this as we are all individuals with our own unique set of complaints. How long you have had the complaint and how committed you are to making changes will influence your progress, along with how much energy your body has to restore health. Finding the root cause may take longer in some individuals than others, however, I am continually amazed at the progress patients make when introducing simple changes into their life.
Are there any side effects?
Naturopathy is a gentle system of healthcare that considers your ability to adapt. Your current diet, lifestyle, physical and emotional health is considered before making recommendations meaning negative interactions are avoided. When making dietary changes and lifestyle modifications, or when following a cleansing programme, a healing crisis may occur. You may experience flu-like symptoms or a change in mood, however, this is a positive sign that your body is working towards restoring balance.
Can I contact you between consultations if I have any questions?
You can contact me by phone or by email if you have any concerns in between sessions.
Will my treatment plan effect the medication I am taking?
All potential drug interactions are considered before making recommendations.
Where are the consultations held?
I practice in central London; however, when bodywork is not required I can conduct home visits which means that in general the initial consultation can be conducted where you live (an additional cost may apply to cover travel expenses).
What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?
Sometimes life gets in the way and you may need to cancel an appointment at short notice. Please let me know at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made after that point will incur a full charge.
